Welcome to O Scale Model, a blog where I hope to combine my hobbies of modelling World War II vehicles and figures, model railroading, wargaming and photography.
I’ve built in various scales before such as HO, N, 1:72 and 1:35, but this blog will focus on my projects in O scale, which is 1:45 or 1:48, depending on which side of the Atlantic you live on.
Currently I am working on a diorama set somewhere in Central Europe during World War II, using the excellent molds from Hirst Arts to create a ruin of a monastery with a road nearby to display my vehicles and figures. My tiny collection of models comes from Tamiya, with a narrow gauge train on the way from Fleischmann.
Later on I hope to create another diorama set in Colorado in the US, using the great narrow gauge models of Bachmann on On30 track.
Well, I’d better get modelling, so I have something to show here.
Welcome aboard!
Hey!
I´m looking for 1:48 projects, have a lot to learn:-) I am in the very start of modelling from my hometown, a german 900mm industrial railroad in the end of WW2.
Have bought two Stainz locos from Magic Train, have to kitbash them to look more like a Budich PS150 lokomotive.
My first building is a house wich was standing very close to the line, no section-work is started yet.
I Found inspiration on your blog pages. Thanks!
